The Holy Quran : Chapter 81 : At-Takwir (The Folding Up) 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

81:1. When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;

وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انْكَدَرَتْ

81:2. When the stars fall, losing their luster;

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ

81:3. When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);

وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ

81:4. When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended;

وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ

81:5. When the wild beasts are herded together (in human habitations);

وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ

81:6. When the oceans boil over with a swell;

وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ

81:7. When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);

وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ

81:8. When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -

بِأَيِّ ذَنْبٍ قُتِلَتْ

81:9. For what crime she was killed;

وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

81:10. When the Scrolls are laid open;

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ

81:11. When the sky is unveiled;

وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ

81:12. When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat;

وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ

81:13. And when the Garden is brought near;-

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ

81:14. (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.

فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ

81:15. So verily I call to witness the Planets - that recede,

الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ

81:16. Go straight, or hide;

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ

81:17. And the Night as it dissipates;

وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ

81:18. And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;-

إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ

81:19. Verily this is the word of a most honorable Messenger,

ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ

81:20. Endued with Power, held in honor by the Lord of the Throne,

مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ

81:21. With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust.

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُونٍ

81:22. And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed;

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ

81:23. And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon.

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ

81:24. Neither he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen.

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ

81:25. Nor is it the word of a satan accursed.

فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ

81:26. And We split the earth in clefts,

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ

81:27. Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds:

لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيمَ

81:28. (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight:

وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

81:29. But you shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds.
